Trees
Notes on Tree Planting and the Use of Native Species in NE England was created for Northumberland Wildlife Trust. The purpose of the guide is to provide basic information when planning woodland planting schemes by suggesting appropriate native tree and shrub mixes for the various soil conditions and situations relevant to the region. It also shows the number of insects supported by different tree species with a guide to their value to birds and invertebrates.
